Terms and Conditions
Last updated: October 3, 2026. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Star AI mobile app (iOS and Android) and the website at getstarai.app, including the waitlist (together, the "Service"). By downloading, installing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Use of the Service
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your country) to use Star AI. If you are under the age of majority, you confirm that a parent or guardian has agreed to these Terms for you.
・The app creates an anonymous account when you first open it. You can optionally sign in with Apple, Google or email to keep your reminders, quiz history and subscription across devices. You are responsible for your sign-in details and for activity under your account. You can delete your account at any time in Settings.
・Star AI provides sky information such as moon phases, celestial events, visibility and reminders based on your location, an AI assistant, and an AR sky view. Features may change, vary by region or be released over time.
・By joining the waitlist you confirm that your information is accurate and agree to receive launch and service emails. You can unsubscribe at any time.
・You agree not to break the law, interfere with the Service or other users, reverse engineer the app, use bots or scrapers, or try to bypass the AI assistant's safeguards. We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms.
2. Premium Subscriptions
Star AI is free to use with limits, such as a daily number of AI messages and a number of active reminders. Premium unlocks higher limits and additional features.
・Billing: Premium is an auto-renewing subscription sold through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Payment is charged to your store account at confirmation of purchase. Prices are shown in the app before you buy.
・Renewal and cancellation: your subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. Manage or cancel it in your Apple ID or Google Play subscription settings. Deleting the app or your Star AI account does not cancel a subscription.
・Free trials: any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
・Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own policies. You can restore purchases in the app on the same store account.
3. Intellectual property
The Service, including the Star AI name, logo, design, software and content, belongs to Star AI or its licensors. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use the app on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use.
You may not copy, reproduce or distribute any materials without our prior written permission. You keep ownership of content you submit, such as chat messages, and you give us the right to process it to provide and improve the Service, as described in our Privacy Policy.
4. Accuracy, AI Answers and Safety
Sky data, event times and visibility estimates depend on your location, device clock and conditions we cannot control, such as weather, light pollution and your horizon. They are provided for general information and may contain errors. Answers from the AI assistant are generated automatically and may be incomplete, outdated or wrong, so please verify anything important.
Stay aware of your surroundings when you use the AR sky view or observe outdoors at night. Never look directly at the Sun, with or without optical equipment, without proper eye protection. We are not responsible for injury, loss or damage arising from observing the sky or using the AR view.
5. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, availability and fitness for a particular purpose.
Star AI is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or EUR 50 if you paid nothing. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or any mandatory consumer rights you have.
6. Third-Party Services and Privacy
The Service relies on third parties such as Apple, Google and other providers for sign-in, payments, notifications, analytics and hosting. Their services are subject to their own terms, and we are not responsible for them. Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use your data, and by using the Service you acknowledge it.
7. Changes, Termination and Contact
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the new version here with an updated "Last updated" date and tell you in the app if the changes are significant. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
You can stop using the Service at any time and delete your account in Settings. We may suspend or end the Service, or your access to it, if you break these Terms or if we discontinue the Service.
